Country Specific Functionality (CSF) Saudi Arabia

Overview

As your business grows and expands into Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Arabia CSF helps to keep your Epicor Financials system compliant from day one to save time and expense. The CSF package contains the most used financial and operational functionalities in the country including:

• VAT Support
• VAT Returns
• E-invoice reporting

It also supports the Arabic language for the solutions included in the CSF.

Value Added Tax (VAT) and Excise Tax

Saudi Arabia implemented VAT law starting from January 1, 2018. Excise tax is applicable only on a select list of items namely tobacco products, soft drinks and energy drinks.

The Saudi Arabia CSF package supports VAT and enables:

• Multiple product tax rate support like Standard rate, Zero rate, and Exempt.
• Taxes under reverse charge mechanism
• Generation of periodic VAT Returns (this feature is under development)

Electronic Invoicing

The Saudi Arabia CSF package can generate electronic invoices and electronic notes, with the required processing and record-keeping.

The Saudi Arabia CSF package supports the following e-invoice features:

• Adheres to the modifications implemented by ZATCA regarding advance payments in May 2023
• Output in dual languages supporting both Arabic and English
• QR Code encoded in Base64 format
• The XML or the PDF/A3 output file can be attached to the respective invoice within Epicor Financials
• Domestic and export invoice
• Tax invoice, debit memo and credit memo
• International Unit of Measure (UOM) codes
• Payment means type codes
• External scheme identification
• Tax rate categories and exempt reason codes
• Credit/debit note reason codes
• Commodity scheme identification codes
• The XML naming convention followed is “Seller identification” + “Date”+”Time”+”IRN” (IRN stands for Invoice Reference Number)
• Send e-invoice by e-mail
