What Is It?

BisTrack Order Entry Automation helps Epicor BisTrack users quickly and accurately enter a large quantity of orders. It uses  form recognition and optical character recognition (OCR) to  extract relevant information from scanned purchase  orders (POs), making them ready for review and import into Epicor BisTrack software for order processing.

Key functions performed by BisTrack Order Entry Automation include:

  • Extract customer number, delivery or site address, and required delivery dates from customer POs
  • Pull the quantity, unit of measure, and price data for any line item ordered by SKU
  • Present order data for review and the addition of non-SKU line items
  • Organize and review orders by customer, site, or address
  • Export order data to the BisTrack sales order function

How It Works

BisTrack Order Entry Automation uses optical character recognition (OCR)  and PDF-reading software—combined with BisTrack EDI interface to automate the customer PO and sales order entry process.

System templates are first set up for your account customers—the builders and contractors with whom you do repeat business—so that the system can then automatically recognize and process their POs.

Once the templates are set up, simply scan customer POs or drag and drop the POs that have been emailed as PDFs. BisTrack Order Entry Automation identifies the customer and the build site address. Then, it extracts quantity, unit of measurement (UOM), and pricing data for line items with SKUs using the OCR software.

Features

Advanced PO Recognition and Accurate Data Capture

Pattern recognition differentiates customer PO templates, while dynamic zones capture floating values for improved accuracy. The data is reviewable, with blank lines for manual entry of non-SKU items. Multiple POs from the same customer or site can be viewed to ensure consistency.

Automated Order Processing

Order data and scanned customer POs are exported to BisTrack via the EDI interface, creating a sales order with the PO attached in Related Documents. This enables full BisTrack functionality for order processing, picking, and delivery.
