Epicor, AASA Honor Tenneco and Parts Warehouse, Inc. for Ride Control Inventory and Sales Optimization Achievements

Epicor presented the inaugural Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) Channel Excellence Award to industry supplier Tenneco, Inc. and channel partner Parts Warehouse, Inc. (PWI) during the AASA Vision Conference, April 3, 2019, in Dearborn, Mich.

The annual award recognizes innovative, collaborative initiatives that drive mutual growth for participants within the automotive parts and service industry.

“Appropriately, this award was conceived through a collaboration of AASA and Epicor to raise awareness of the benefits of applying newly available product and market intelligence solutions and other technologies in a coordinated manner at multiple places in the aftermarket value chain,” said Scott Thompson, Epicor senior vice president, automotive and business services.

Winning Project: 2019 AASA Channel Excellence Award presented by Epicor

The winning project, titled “Inventory and Sales Optimization Through Extensive Use of Shared Data Analytics,” involved the development of custom stocking assortments of Tenneco’s Monroe® strut assemblies at each of 13 PWI locations. The program resulted in immediate sales gains of between 5 and 190 percent at PWI stores. Sales of Monroe strut assemblies jumped 65 percent at the premium level and 98 percent at the economy level. PWI is an Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance shareholder.

The other finalists for the award were Brake Parts Inc. and Genuine Parts Co., “Integrated Systems and Teams to Improve Customers’ End-Point Sales”; and Gates Corp. / XL Parts, “Collaborative Category Management Program to Provide Channel Partners an Expanded Data Source.”
