ERP system helps reduce business risk and streamline operations
Epicor Software Corporation, a global provider of industry-specific enterprise software to promote business growth, today announced that Flavourtech, a global technology manufacturer headquartered in Australia, has chosen Epicor ERP as its global enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution to support the company’s continued growth and expansion.
Established in 1987, Flavourtech manufactures equipment that facilitates aroma recovery, extraction, and evaporation, for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries. The company’s ground-breaking technology has received international recognition and more than 90 percent of the equipment produced by Flavourtech at its manufacturing plant in Griffith, New South Wales, is exported overseas.
Represented in locations throughout the world including the US, Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia Pacific, continued International expansion is mission-critical to Flavourtech’s future success. The company’s recent focus on new markets, such as South America, Russia, and the Middle East, helped to generate a 40 percent growth rate over the past two years. To sustain this rapid growth trajectory, Flavourtech has selected Epicor ERP as the optimal solution to support the smooth and efficient expansion of its operations.
“The fast-paced evolution of our business meant we had outgrown a disparate collection of spreadsheets and applications we were previously using. With no system integration or visibility of real-time operational data, it was becoming increasingly difficult to manage our manufacturing schedules precisely—and this was impacting our ability to deliver good customer service,” said Paul Smith, finance and administration manager, Flavourtech.
“A heavy reliance on manual processes meant teams could not collaborate seamlessly and minor inefficiencies were becoming magnified. Other pain points included the inability of travelling team members to access the information they needed easily, and system limitations constraining our ability to receive and schedule orders,” said Smith.
“Epicor ERP will enable Flavourtech to automate key operational processes, schedule manufacturing projects more efficiently, and put the right information into the hands of the right people at the right time. All of which will deliver massive benefits for Flavourtech,” concluded Smith.
“Flavourtech is an exciting Australian success story that has plans for more rapid growth in the future. Epicor is excited to provide a platform to help facilitate this growth, and we look forward to working in partnership and helping Flavourtech achieve its targets,” commented Greg O’Loan, regional vice president, ANZ, Epicor Software.
