With Epicor WMS for Prophet 21, one or more users can receive against the same purchase order or warehouse transfer. WMS sums up the receipt line quantities as the user processes the transaction. If you have multiple package sizes for an item or more than one item or lot is in the same bin location, then a system of license plating or tagging is an available option for greater inventory definition below the item and lot level.
Integrating Epicor WMS for Prophet 21, data can be used to provide product genealogy—both historically from the point of origination and within your warehouse. This data is critical during emergency situations or with product recalls. Lot numbers and tags with traceable factors can also be created on the fly. During the receiving process, users may identify serial, lot, and lot attributes.
Users can save time by picking a single order, multiple orders for different customers, and transfer orders all in a single pass through the warehouse. Warehouse technology helps create a paperless picking system. The system directs the picker via the wireless handheld device to the bin locations where the allocations have been placed and helps to ensure the correct bin is scanned, the correct item is scanned, and lot/serial is correct.
Perform physical inventory counts or cycle counts. The counts are created in Prophet 21 and accessed from the handheld device. Count selection lets users count all bins for a single item or single bin location. Various cycle count options are available, including the ability to indicate how many counts are needed annually based on an item’s velocity. Once the parameters are entered, Prophet 21 gives the counter the appropriate quantity of items to count each time to help achieve the count goal.
