Herald Chen

Mr. Herald Chen became a director in August 2016. Based at the KKR Menlo Park location, Mr. Chen re-joined KKR in 2007, having previously worked for the Firm from 1995 to 1997, and Co-Heads the Technology industry team within KKR's Private Equity platform. He has been directly involved with the investments in Mitchell, Go Daddy, Visma, Kodak, Sun Microsystems and Kindercare Learning Centers. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Chen was a managing director with Fox Paine & Company, CEO of ACMI Corporation, and CFO and co-founder of Jamcracker, Inc. He was also with Goldman, Sachs & Co. He holds a B.S. and a B.S.E., cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

 


John Park

Mr. John Park became a director in August 2016. Based at the KKR Menlo Park location, he joined KKR in 2013 and is a member of the Technology industry team. Mr. Park is currently a member of the board of directors of Mitchell International, Internet Brands, GoDaddy and Ticket Monster, and is also involved with KKR's investments in SunGard Data Systems, Ping Identity and Cylance. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Park was with Apax Partners, where he focused on investments in technology and participated in transactions involving Epicor Software Corporation, Activant Solutions, Paradigm Geophysical and Sophos. Previously, Mr. Park was a member of the mergers & acquisitions practice at Morgan Stanley. Mr. Park holds an A.B., cum laude, in Economics from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

 


 

Usman Rabbani

Mr. Usman Rabbani became a director in August 2016. Based at the KKR Menlo Park location, Mr. Rabbani works with the TMT industry team of KKR Capstone to evaluate new investments, and leads technology related value creation efforts across the private equity portfolio. Previously, Mr. Rabbani was a partner at McKinsey & Company serving clients in the TMT industry and enterprise IT. Before that, he spent 10 years in software engineering and operational roles as Founder and CTO of a cloud video surveillance platform, as an enterprise IT architect at Pfizer, as a tech team lead at Scient, and as a software developer at Massachusetts General Hospital. Mr. Rabbani earned an M.B.A. at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, an M.S. in Computer Science at Harvard University, and a B.A. in Computer Science and Psychology at Yale University.

 


 

Kara Wilson

Ms. Kara Wilson joined the Epicor Board of Directors in March 2017. Currently, Ms. Wilson is the chief marketing officer (CMO) for Rubrik, the market leader in Cloud Data Management, and brings extensive experience in driving both product and corporate marketing programs in enterprise technology. Previously Ms. Wilson was executive vice president and CMO at FireEye, Inc., where she was responsible for all aspects of FireEye’s marketing strategy including branding, communications, partner, customer, web, and field marketing. Before FireEye, she held executive positions at a number of market-leading enterprise technology companies, including Okta, SAP Cloud, SuccessFactors, Cisco Systems, Network General (acquired by NetScout), and PeopleSoft before its acquisition by Oracle. Ms. Wilson holds a bachelor's degree from the University of California at Berkeley.

 


 

Steve Murphy

Mr. Steve Murphy joined the Epicor Board of Directors in October 2017 with his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Before joining Epicor, Mr. Murphy served as president of OpenText, a $2B global leader in enterprise information management with 12,000 employees worldwide, where he was responsible for all customer-facing activities including sales, marketing, partners and alliances, global technical services, customer support, professional services, sales operations and cloud services. During his time at OpenText, he delivered outstanding operational performance and was instrumental in the completion and integration of four major acquisitions. Prior to OpenText, Mr. Murphy held sales and operations leadership positions at Oracle, Sun Microsystems, and Manugistics, as well as manufacturing and distribution roles leading global logistics and supply chain strategy and major enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementations with Accenture and Procter & Gamble. Mr. Murphy holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of California, Davis.
