Epicor Recognized in Gartner’s New 2019 Critical Capabilities Cloud ERP for Product-Centric Midsize Enterprises

As businesses shift away from traditional on-premises systems to cloud-based ERP, they are taking advantage of new capabilities to improve their business and optimize processes. Recently, Gartner published a new cloud ERP-focused report called, “2019 Critical Capabilities for Cloud ERP for Product-Centric Midsize Enterprises.”

Based on the evaluation of Epicor ERP, as per Gartner report, “Epicor ERP has earned a reputation for being a flexible and highly capable product for small and midsize manufacturing companies (those with employee numbers ranging from 20 to more than 1,000).” Epicor ERP scored highest in the ERP functionality for Midsize Enterprises Use Case (3.77 out of 5)

Today, over 500 customers worldwide—primarily manufacturers and distributors—run their Epicor ERP solution in the cloud. The Epicor ERP platform allows organizations to align the solution with their unique workflows and processes while also making it easy to scale services in a way that ensures their enterprises are more responsive and agile.

This Critical Capabilities report is aligned with the “2018 Magic Quadrant for Product-Centric Cloud ERP for Midsize Enterprises,” 1  where Epicor ERP was positioned as a Visionary. According to the report, “This report covers midsize enterprises (those with annual revenue of between $50 million and $1 billion) across all regions of the world, because it is these organizations that have led adoption of public cloud ERP solutions. “

Cloud ERP is proving to be a game changer, especially for businesses looking to digitally transform and innovate fast. Delivering a cohesive and instantaneous view of business processes and resources, today's cloud technologies are enabling organizations to take ERP to the next level.

The Critical Capabilities report2 observes, “By 2021, 70% of all new midmarket cloud ERP application projects for product-centric enterprises will be public cloud implementations.”

“We never looked at another system. At my previous company, Epicor allowed us to maintain 30 percent sales growth over six years. I truly believed this solution was a necessity for making us a better company—achieving a wide range of sales goals and creating a new market. I was a bit reticent using a cloud-based solution at first, but the uptime performance has been fantastic.”
