Latest Epicor Eagle for the Aftermarket Software Release

To thrive in today's fast-paced economy, time-strapped parts distributors and jobbers must invest in technology solutions that help them work more efficiently and that evolve to meet their changing needs. Epicor Eagle for the Aftermarket software helps parts wholesalers Grow Beyond-offering users access to performance-enhancing tools faster than ever, thanks to an accelerated upgrade process.

The new release of Eagle for the Aftermarket software is available through enhanced electronic download, facilitating quick access to the software's latest features and enhancements-of which there are dozens. Automotive aftermarket businesses require software solutions that offer more capabilities than legacy systems of the past. As your needs shift, Epicor is committed to developing technology to match.

The Eagle for the Aftermarket solution adds an array of powerful new tools and enhancements designed to help customers boost profitability at the sales counter and improve the customer experience. Software improvements aimed at helping users apply the latest best practices can be found at the point of sale (POS), in purchasing, receiving, and in other areas. They include:

  • Complex promotions and loyalty programs-Users gain the ability to establish and run tiered or complex parts promotional programs. Additionally, they can implement loyalty and rewards programs based on buying frequency and other sales characteristics.
  • Pro-rated return processing-This a feature that prevents their customers from returning goods for the full purchase price when purchased at a discounted rate and tied to a larger sale.
  • Customizable service and repair segmentation-Users with service and repair departments can define up to 46 repair types, each of which includes its own set of equipment descriptions/information prompts and allows users to indicate whether certain prompts require an answer. Users can specify the department containing pre-defined repair packages created for each repair type.
  • Enhanced vendor payment processing-Eagle users gain the ability to pay vendors through electronic bank transfers.
  • Debit steering functionality-This popular feature has returned, allowing users to reduce credit card processing fees by prompting customers to use a pin-based debit card for transactions above a specified dollar amount.
  • Improved fraud detection-The new Voided Items Viewer tool lets users search for parts added and then voided on completed sales and credit memos; parts added and then voided on a suspended sale; parts on transactions created when using training mode; and more. Because the information is mapped in the Epicor Compass tool, parts distributors can choose to share it with a third-party loss prevention company.
