Navigating the People-Impact of Digital Transformation

Even as we hurtle towards a world where robots are common in any kind of workplace, it’s the human element that continues to rank highest on the executive agenda.  In fact many of the CEOs we meet with haveNavigating the People-Impact of Digital Transformation_ plans to hire more employees in the coming year than in the last one. However this enthusiasm to expand is almost always tempered by a significant challenge; most executives rank the availability of key skills as one of the top risks to their business.

What does this mean for today’s HR leader?  For one thing, companywide acknowledgement – particularly from the c-suite – that people must come first even in the digital world.  Businesses will not grow without a culture of growth that willingly embraces innovation and tackles game-changing initiatives.  That means ensuring employees feel enthused, productive, valued, and rewarded.

Herein lies a powerful opportunity for HR professionals to help their organizations navigate the talent pursuit, take a leadership role in digital transformation, and guide the way forward.

I’m excited that Epicor has partnered with Aptitude Research Partners, an independent research-based analyst and advisory firm, to explore the changing landscape of the HR profession and technology in human capital management (HCM).  In the coming months, watch this space for articles on topics like the new employment paradigm, better uses for compensation information, empowering managers to grow their talent, and more.  We hope our joint series helps organizations like yours discover new HCM strategies to navigate the people-impact of digital transformation and to create a culture of growth.
