Highlights of Insights 2017


Attendees entered the Delta Ballroom at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and a catchy tune played with the words "Set Your Course for Growth" could be seen. Epicor CEO Joe Cowan gave a welcome speech to almostEpicor CEO Joe Cowan talks about growth at Insights 2017 4,000 attendees from all over the world. During Joe's keynote, he emphasized the theme of this year's conference is growth. The growth of Epicor is also growth for the customers. Joe also mentioned that one of the major factors of growth is technology. "We understand the importance of technology," Joe said. "We spent 20% of our resources developing software...and developing products."  According to Joe, growth, technology, and change go hand in hand and change in business can be difficult. "Change is hard for all of us but change is the world we live in. Are we willing to go forward and do it?" said Joe.

Lisa Pope, Executive Vice President, Sales Americas discussed about how important growth and partnership is. As a partner, Epicor is here to understand the business process and list specific recommendations that are applicable to the customer's business. "This partnership is always an opportunity for us to Lisa Pope EVP, Sales Americas discusses about partnerships at Insights 2017understand what has changed since you originally purchased and implemented Epicor software," Lisa stressed.

Himanshu Palsule, Epicor Chief Product and Technology Officer, discussed growth, industry and the cloud. He said "When you think of Epicor, you think about a company that is fixated on the growth of the customers. Growth in your revenue, growth in your profitability, growth in operations."  Cloud enthusiasts also heard an update from Himanshu's keynote. "Cloud will be a defacto standard for enterprise applications. It's not a question of if but a question of when." Cloud is security, resiliency, disaster recovery, configuration, and customization."

Himanshu concluded with some inspirational words- "Your growth is our passion. We achieve it by focusing in your industry. Towards the end of the conference, attendees also talked to us about their overall thoughts.
Sue Pask, Business Analyst from Dalsin Industries said, "My overall thoughts on this year’s Insights was very good. The course structure seemed really organized this year."

Beth Brodenburg, Process Improvement Manager from Automation, Inc. shared her thoughts.  "Although the classes had been extremely informative, I think the most beneficial part for me has been the Solutions Pavilion and the technical expertise that it provides."
