Epicor Named “Champion” in the Aberdeen AXIS Report for Retail Loss Prevention Systems
Aberdeen Group, a leading global technology research and advisory firm, has named Epicor as a “Champion” in its 2009 Aberdeen AXIS™ Report for Retail Loss Prevention Systems. The Aberdeen AXIS report provides an objective, fact-based, vendor assessment looking at a solution provider’s history of Market Readiness and Value Delivered to customers — Epicor Retail Loss Prevention received the highest combined score.
“The Loss Prevention AXIS results show Epicor’s generally superior performance is due to its provision of alternative delivery models that include on-premise and multi-tenant software as a service (SaaS) licensing options to retailers,” said Sahir Anand, retail research director at Aberdeen. “Currently, 74% of loss prevention software and hardware deployments in retail are older than five years. Interviews with Epicor customers indicate the primary reason for current Epicor Retail Loss Prevention deployments are due to the replacement of legacy and home-grown systems—evidence that Epicor is addressing the legacy gap that exists in retail loss prevention solutions today.”
