Executive Biographies

Pervez Qureshi, President and CEO
Pervez Qureshi brings over 20 years of management experience in the software and technology industry to Epicor Software Corporation.  From 2006 until 2011, Qureshi served as CEO and president of Activant Solutions Inc. Qureshi served as Activant’s chief operating officer and executive vice president since 2004. Prior to joining Activant, Qureshi was president and founder of a management consulting company. He has also held senior positions at Harvest Software, Metaphor Computer Systems, Hewlett-Packard and IBM. Qureshi has an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia and a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from the University of Lowell in Massachusetts.
Kathy Crusco, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Kathy Crusco brings more than 20 years of experience to her role as executive vice president and CFO of Epicor.  Crusco came to Epicor in May 2011 following the merger with Activant Solutions Inc.  She joined Activant in May 2007 and served as senior vice president and chief financial officer before being promoted to executive vice president and chief financial officer in November 2010. Prior to joining Activant, Crusco served as vice president of worldwide finance for Polycom Inc.  In addition, she has held a variety of financial roles at Documentum Inc., Adaptec and Price Waterhouse LLP. She graduated from California State University, Chico with a bachelor degree in business with an emphasis in accounting.
John Hiraoka, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer
John Hiraoka joined Epicor in 1998 and brings over 25 years of enterprise applications design, development, sales, marketing, and operations experience to the company. In his current position as chief marketing officer and executive vice president, business development, he is responsible for the company’s overall corporate, product and marketing strategy, as well as corporate development, strategic partnerships, alliances, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining Epicor, Hiraoka held a variety of senior management positions with DataWorks Corporation, including vice president of advanced product development and international operations. Hiraoka attended the University of Washington, majoring in mathematics and computer science.
Juanita Lott, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer
Juanita Lott brings more than 20 years of experience to her role as senior vice president and CHRO.  Prior to joining Epicor, Lott held executive and management positions in human resources at a number of companies including IAC Search and Media, Sybase Corporation, Alcatel Business Systems and Stanford University.  In addition to her leadership roles in human resources, Lott was the Founder and CEO of Bridgestream, an enterprise security software company (acquired by Oracle in 2007).  She received a bachelor degree in liberal arts from the University of California Davis and a master degree from Mills College.
Paul Farrell, Executive Vice President, Worldwide Research and Development, ERP
Paul Farrell brings over 20 years experience with ERP systems to the company, primarily within the midmarket discrete manufacturing sector. In his current role as executive vice president, worldwide research and development, Farrell is responsible for the product development of all the company’s enterprise software product lines and oversees Epicor development centers in the Americas, Europe, and the Asia Pacific region. Farrell previously served as senior vice president of worldwide research and development. He has also senior management positions in product marketing, focused on sales, marketing and product development of Epicor manufacturing products. Farrell holds a bachelor of science in science technology and business studies.
Craig McCollum, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Retail Distribution
Craig McCollum brings more than 25 years of experience in business applications sales, marketing and services delivery, as well as strong experience working within both direct and partner-driven sales models, to his role as executive vice president and general manager of the Epicor retail distribution solutions business. Prior to Epicor, McCollum was president of True North Strategists, which worked with global technology firms to transform businesses to achieve profitable growth. He has held senior executive sales and operations roles with Microsoft Corporation, including Vice President, US Dynamics and Vice President, Worldwide Dynamics Sales Strategy, as well as executive management positions with leading enterprise software providers including Sage Software, Lawson Software and Fieldcentrix Corp. McCollum received a bachelor of science in business and human resources management from California State Polytechnic University.
Paul Salsgiver, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Epicor Retail
Paul Salsgiver brings over 35 years of experience to his role as executive vice president and general manager of the Epicor Retail solutions business. Salsgiver came to Epicor in May 2011 following the merger with Activant Solutions Inc., where he served as executive vice president and general manager of the retail distribution group. Prior to joining Activant, Salsgiver served as CEO for technology industry start-ups Compassoft and Aspectrics. He also served as CEO for Higher Markets and Rubric, both of which were successfully acquired during his tenure. Salsgiver spent 10 years with PeopleSoft in various roles, including president of the Education and Government division. Salsgiver received a bachelor of science in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley.
Bill Wilson, Senior Vice President, Research and Development, Retail
Bill Wilson brings more than 25 years of experience to his role as senior vice president of research and development for Epicor retail software solutions.  Wilson came to Epicor in May 2011 following the merger with Activant Solutions Inc., where he served as senior vice president of product development with responsibility for cross-product technology and architecture planning. Wilson joined Activant in 1981 as a software engineer and later became vice president of product development for the non-automotive vertical markets in 1999 and for all vertical markets in 2004.  Prior to joining Activant, Wilson worked at the consulting firm of Towers Perrin.  Wilson holds a bachelor degree from Yale University.
Keith Deane, Senior Vice President and General Manager, EMEA
Keith Deane joined Epicor in February 2012 and brings more than 20 years of sales, operations and industry experience to the company.  In the role of senior vice president and general manager, EMEA, Deane is responsible for operations including all sales, services, support and marketing, focused on revenue growth and expanding the market for Epicor enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions throughout the region. Prior to joining Epicor, Deane has held senior executive management positions with a number of technology companies including Iron Mountain Digital (acquired by Autonomy, an HP company), Infor, WebMethods and BEA Systems.
Craig Charlton, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Asia Pacific
Craig Charlton joined Epicor in 2007 when the company acquired the Epicor division its then largest global reseller, Professional Advantage in Australia. Charlton brings more than 20 years experience in all aspects of software sales, marketing, consulting, customer service, and product development to Epicor. In the role of senior vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific, Charlton is responsible for all facets of operations, representing Epicor ERP solutions in the Asia Pacific region. Charlton is a Chartered Accountant by qualification, and has spent the majority of his career involved in the implementation and support of technology solutions across a wide range of industries. He received a bachelor of business and a graduate diploma in taxation law from Monash University in Melbourne Australia.

Jason Wright
Jason Wright joined the board of directors in May 2011. Wright joined Apax Partners in 2000 and is a Partner on the Technology & Telecom team.  He currently serves as a board member on Tivit, Realpage (Nasdaq: RP), Trizetto and Plex Systems. Wright is on the board of the Opportunity Network, an education-focused charity in New York City. Prior to joining Apax, he served in a variety of roles at GE Capital, including principal investing on behalf of GE Ventures. Previously, he worked at Accenture, a consulting firm, designing and implementing systems for the financial services and pharmaceutical industries. Wright received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Tufts University and his MBA in Finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Roy Mackenzie
Roy Mackenzie joined the board of directors in May 2011. Mackenzie joined Apax Partners in 2003 and is a Partner in the Tech & Telecom team. He also currently serves as a board member on Sophos. Prior to joining Apax, he spent most of his career at McKinsey & Company where he specialized in the technology sector. He has also held operating roles at Psion plc, a mobile computer designer and manufacturer, and nSine Technology Inc. Mackenzie holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Millar Scholar, and a Masters of Engineering from Imperial College, London.

Will Chen
Will Chen joined the board of directors in May 2011. Chen joined Apax Partners in 2007 and is a Principal on the Tech & Telecom team. Chen has focused on the technology and telecom sector throughout his career at Apax. Prior to joining Apax, Mr. Chen worked at Bain & Company and Goldman Sachs, specializing in the technology and telecom sector at both firms. He received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University, a Master of Science in Engineering-Economic Systems & Operations Research from Stanford University, a Master of Arts in International Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Paul Walker
Paul Walker joined the board of directors in November 2011. Walker currently serves as a board member of Experian plc, European Directories SA, The Perform Group plc, Newcastle Science City Ltd, and the Entrepreneurs’ Forum. He served as a board member of the Sage Group plc until September 2010 and Diageo plc until October 2011. Previously, Walker was Chief Executive of The Sage Group plc from 1994 to October 2010. He joined Sage in 1984 as Financial Controller and was appointed Finance Director in 1987 prior to flotation on the London Stock Exchange. Walker qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young, having graduated from York University with an economics degree.

Peter Gyenes
Peter Gyenes joined the board of directors in November 2011. Gyenes has four decades of experience in global technical, sales, marketing, and general management positions within the software and computer systems industries. He is an active investor and board member focusing on technology market opportunities. He is currently the Non-Executive Chairman of Sophos plc, a global security software company. He also serves on the board of Pegasystems, VistaPrint Limited, IntraLinks, Inc., RealPage, Inc., and Talend, as well as a number of privately held technology companies, and is a Trustee Emeritus of the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council. Gyenes served on the board of Lawson Software, Inc., (until July 2011, acquired by Golden Gate/Infor), Netezza Corporation (until 2010, acquired by IBM), Bladelogic, Inc. (until 2008, acquired by BMC), webMethods, Inc. (until 2007, acquired by Software AG) and Applix, Inc. (until 2007, acquired by Cognos). He served as Chairman and CEO of Ascential Software, as well as of its predecessor companies VMark Software, Ardent Software and Informix, and led its growth into the data integration market leader, from 1996 until it was acquired by IBM in 2005. Previously, Mr. Gyenes served as President and CEO of Racal InterLan, Inc., and in executive positions at Data General Corporation, Encore Computer Corporation and Prime Computer, Inc. Earlier in his career, he held sales and technical positions at Xerox Data Systems and IBM. He is a graduate of Columbia University where he received both his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and his MBA degree.
